3-15-10 Peer Edits of Feature Story

You should read two of your classmates' articles today. Post the following feedback to your blog. The final draft is due tomorrow before you come to class.

Peer Editing Feedback

1. What are some areas that could use more detail? Why?

2. What additional sources might the author use? Does the lead involve you in the story?

3. Does the story contain a well defined scene (a detailed description of someone doing something or something happening)? What is it? If not, make a suggestion for a scene that might work.

4. What would you like to see or hear more of? Less of? Include, any other suggestions you have for improvement.

3-5-10 Peer Edits

You should've posted your rough draft before class began today. You will e-mail your story to 2 classmates. They will open it in Word and go to Review/Track Changes to edit your paper. They can also add comments. Then they will e-mail it back to you.

You should make revisions based on the peer suggestions and post your final story to your blog before class begins on Monday.

Today you should be collecting data and conducting interviews.

Your assignment is to have all interviews completed and all of the interview answers posted to your blog before class begins tomorrow.

Tomorrow you will organize those interviews and write your story. Your story must be posted to the blog before class begins on Friday.
